Rehearsals are held in the bright, airy upstairs events room on a Monday from 7pm – 9.30pm.
Term 1: No Rehearsals on Feb 16th, March 23rd or April 6th
Term 2: No Rehearsal on May 25th
Term 3: No Rehearsal on Oct 19th or 26th

About our choir in Newcastle…
Formed in late 2011, our choir in Newcastle is where Voice of the Town began. Since then, the choir has gone on to perform with Take That & Lulu (twice!), stars from BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, Russell Watson, the Godspell UK tour, Britain’s Got Talent winner Jai McDowall and on ex-England rugby player, Joe Marler’s live podcast tour.
AND, all at incredible venues such as the iconic London Palladium, Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium, Arena Birmingham, Newcastle City Hall, Sage Gateshead, Sunderland Empire, Tyne Theatre & Opera House, the Northern Stage, and many more.
During that time, our Newcastle choir has also performed at a host of festivals across the region, such as Lindisfarne, Mighty Dub, Festival by the Sea and Gateshead Beer Festival, and at countless public events, live music venues, corporate and charity events, feature shows, weddings, parties and for live radio, including on BBC Radio Drivetime and Breakfast shows.

Musical Director – Kerry Green
Kerry studied Pop, Jazz & Commercial Music at Newcastle College, both as a singer and sax player and has performed throughout the UK, Europe and Australia.
She is a passionate, experienced musician and educator with an extensive knowledge of singing across contemporary styles, voice production, technique and vocal anatomy, working primarily within contemporary commercial music and musical theatre.
Kerry also has a specialism in Aphasia and currently leads a choir with speech, language & communication dificulties. Her practice has been studied as part of research in association with Newcastle University.
She has collaborated with many artists and her music/vocals are featured on various recordings within the Jazz/Funk and Dance Music scenes, including: Café del Mar, Hed Kandi, Giles Peterson and Satoshi Tomiie.
