2023 was an AMAZING year that had everything! Great live shows and gigs across our groups to packed audiences, as well as some high-profile TV appearances and even performing one leg of a tour at one of the world’s most iconic, historic venues!
Yes, early in 2023, we were delighted to be asked to perform across the 5 shows that made up the UK tour of the Joe Marler Podcast (now the Things People Do podcast), featuring England rugby and Harlequin’s player, Joe Marler. Performing lots of our own arrangements, as well as songs from Joe’s favourite artist, Adele, we hit the stages at Birmingham and Glasgow’s Glee Clubs, the Stoller Hall (Manchester), St. George’s (Bristol) and, incredibly, The London Palladium!
Furthermore, we had the awesome experience of performing for the close of Mary Berry’s Highland Christmas, which aired before Christmas on BBC One (UK-wide) and even across the United States on December 19th. It was a privilege to perform for Dame Mary and her special guest, the fantastic singer-songwriter Emeli Sandé, and though we only had short notice in early October for the filming, it was exciting to dust off some Christmas songs (and learn new material!) for that. On top of that, 2023 saw us perform at countless festivals, weddings, charity events, gig venues, the UCI World Cycling Championships ‘Opening Ceremony’ and live on BBC Radio to help them with their Christmas Launch on December 1st.
HOWEVER, we can’t wait to get back underway in the new year and the good news is, you can come and get involved, too! With a really exciting few months of shows ahead, and with more dates to be added, we can’t wait to start our new terms from Monday, January 22nd, onwards!
