Events Round Up/Heads Up: ToC Tour, Russell Watson and More…

Birmingham's VOTT ChoirAfter weeks and months of hard work, practice and rehearsals, our exciting schedule of events is just about to begin involving all four of our groups!

Kicking us off this coming Saturday, our Birmingham choir will be taking to the stage at the Reading Hexagon Theatre to perform as part of An Audience With…  A Touch Of Class.  Featuring the dancing talents of Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe from BBC’s hugely successful show Strictly Come Dancing, it promises to be a fantastic evening of music, dance and stories.  And our Birmingham VOTTers are at it again the following weekend when they resume their Touch of Class duties, entertaining the masses in St. Albans and Swindon, April 22nd and 24th.

Our Newcastle choir then have the pleasure of backing renowned cross-over vocalist Russell Watson as part of his tour Songs From The Heart.  Performing at Whitely Bay Playhouse, it’s sure to be a brilliant show and is officially Sold Out! And to round off our April events, our Birmingham group are very excited to be making a surprise appearance at a stunning event.  It’s all a secret for now, but keep an eye on our social media pages after the event!

Going into May, and our groups have a little respite but no less excitement with our Birmingham group performing as part of Touch of Class much closer to home, at the wonderful Leamington Royal Spa Centre, on May 14th.  And not to be outdone, our Edinburgh choir begin by performing at the Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline on May 31st. The following day brings a new month and a new group’s involvement, with our Glasgow choir perform as part of ToC at the magnificent Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.  Edinburgh take over once again for the following two evenings when they appear as part of the tour in Perth (Perth Concert Hall) on June 2nd before finishing their run at Edinburgh’s renowned Usher Hall.

Into the home straight and we have our Newcastle choir making their own appearance as part of the ToC tour when they appear on June 7th at Newcastle’s Tyne Theatre, the base of many great shows and tv comedy programmes.  Finally, we return to where we started with Birmingham’s Voice of the Town’s final two appearances as part of ToC at Dunstable’s Grove Theatre on June 10th and Stockport’s Plaza Theatre on June 11th.
